3D printing makes it possible for damaged corpses new faces

Death of a loved one can be a distressing time, even more so should they have been involved in an accident which damaged their facial features, this makes viewing the body difficult for relatives. Previously technicians in funeral parlours have been able to mend corpses, in China with wax, but now a new technique is available to them.

One funeral home in Shanghai is using a ground breaking technique, a 3D printer to recreate the faces of damaged corpses for burial. By using this new technique, it is possible to restore facial features to their previous state if they if they sustained it in an accident. It is also possible for people to be made to look younger than they were in life, even more attractive.

Examples of some of the things that can be 3D printed are noses; this is just one of the shapes which have been shown at the Longhua funeral home, by the 3D printer which works by producing layers of material in any shape or size required.

The technicians use information from a picture of how the person looked in life, the similarity can be as high as 95 %, according to Chinese state media. As the director of the funeral service pointed out, nobody wants to see incomplete faces or bodies of their loved ones when viewing, something that make up cannot always achieve.

We understand that recreating a face would apparently cost around £437 to £546.

Goat gets stuck on powerline!?

Animals getting stuck in random things is nothing new, but a goat hanging from a telephone line has to take the biscuit. The bizarre rescue attempt was filmed by a passer-by and uploaded onto the internet, it has now been viewed more than 1.2 million times.

It’s unclear how the goat got itself stuck on the telephone line, or how long the four-legged beast was there for.

The footage, taken in Greece shows a team of rescuers trying to unhook the goat from its precarious position using a ladder and rope. Eventually the rescuers manage to free the goat, which trundles off on its merry way without a care in the world.

N.A.S.A. to announce alien life!?

We cannot say what the news will be, but it has sent alien hunters into an absolute frenzy, in the belief that NASA is going to reveal to all there is clear evidence that they have discovered life at one of the earth like planets that have been discovered by the Keplar telescope which has been trawling the universe in search of life.

The Keplar telescope was launched in March 2009 at a cost of £411 million and so far it has succeeded in locating 1000 alien worlds to date, although it’s thought that only 100 are like our own planet, but does one of these have evidence of life?

Now for some reason, it could be due to the Hollywood film industry, or maybe television with Star Trek and Captain Kirk, but the lives on other planets are pictured as little green men from Mars, or maybe an ET lookalike. All is due to be revealed by NASA who is to hold a television conference on May 10^th so far we are told by top NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan, “life is out there and we are going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade.” Now that statement does but a slight damper on the hopes of our alien hunters, but they are not that easily put off and are pinning their hopes on the news conference.

The Keplar telescope is high tech as you would expect, it works by recording tiny brightness dips caused when a planet crosses a star’s face, just like ours does in fact, so far the “telescope” has located a new Earth-sized world that had the potential to contain alien life, this has been named as “Keplar 452b” and it has the perfect temperatures for both water and life. In a similar way to our earth it orbits it star, or sun, star every 385 days with temperatures identical to our sun, all very promising so far then.

Scientists, as normal, are not committing themselves, but they do concede that this appears to be the closest planet yet to our own so far found by the planet hunting telescope. We will await the conference with baited breath in the hope that NASA has discovered people who are going about their daily tasks on Keplar 452b.

Prison inmate put 4 guards in hospital!!

Four correctional officers were taken to an area hospital with injuries following an assault by an inmate at California State Prison, Sacramento, in Folsom.

The incident occurred about 9:43 a.m. Tuesday. Inmate Maurice Miles allegedly struck an officer in the face with his fist after ignoring multiple direct orders to proceed to his assigned cell, according to a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation news release. A struggle followed and several officers responded in an effort to restrain Miles. During the struggle, an officer was stabbed in the arm and shoulder by an inmate-manufactured weapon that Miles swung at responding staff members, officials said.

A third officer was head-butted and a fourth officer suffered a fractured right wrist.

Prison staff members used physical force and baton strikes to subdue Miles, authorities said.

Brutal Bunny: the untold tale.

Ok so the story goes that a still unknown assailant or possibly multiple assailants wielded a rabbit costume and a sharpened ax and randomly hacked 6 people to death in 3 separate instances in rural Oklahoma back in 1964.
The rascally rabbit would lie in wait in the shadows and would only attack pairs of people as they passed through the underpass.
The terror must have been incredible and felt instantly as the victims saw the murderous entity advance rapidly on them with a clear element of surprise.
